From Arkansas roots to Texas experience — the story behind our family-run RV and cabin retreat in the Ozarks.

Rooted in Arkansas, Built with Experience
Mockingbird Mountain has been part of the Greers Ferry Lake community for years — but in 2023, our family took the reins. We saw a special opportunity: not just to take over a property, but to bring new life to a place we’ve loved since childhood.
Our roots run deep in Arkansas. This land is where we grew up — hiking the trails, spending weekends with family, and soaking in the peace that only the Ozarks can offer.
But we didn’t come in green. For years, we successfully built and operated an RV park in Lone Oak, Texas. We took everything we learned — from managing long-term guests to creating a peaceful, clean environment — and brought it back to Arkansas, where we always knew we belonged.
From Guests to Hosts

Like many of our visitors, we started as weekenders. We’d drive in from the city just to hike Sugar Loaf Mountain, relax on the lake, or catch golden hour from Mossy Bluff Trail.
Every time we left, we wanted to come back sooner.
So we made it permanent. We turned a love for the area into a place that feels like home — not just for us, but for every guest who visits. Whether you’re here for a weekend escape or settling in for long-term RV living, we created Mockingbird Mountain to feel like the kind of retreat we always searched for.
A Family-First Retreat, Not a Corporate Campground

We didn’t want to build a resort. We wanted to build something real. Something rooted. Something small enough to care — but big enough to matter.
That’s why every cabin, every RV pad, every mowed trail and hand-written welcome note is done by us. We don’t outsource management or rely on big corporate systems. We’re here, on-site, checking in guests and making sure your experience feels personal.
Built for People Who Love Nature (and Quiet Mornings)

When you stay at Mockingbird Mountain, we hope you feel the way we did when we first arrived here: calm, curious, grounded. We’ll gladly point you toward the top hikes around Greers Ferry Lake, share the best local spots for wildlife watching, or send you down the road just in time to catch the sunset.
We created this space for families, couples, solo travelers, and full-timers — anyone who craves a little space to breathe, and some trees to breathe it under.
Come See Why We Stayed

We didn’t just take over this property. We committed to building something lasting here. We wanted our family close, our guests to feel welcome, and our roots to keep growing.
Whether you’re staying in one of our cozy cabins or settling in for long-term RV living, we hope you feel what we felt — and still feel every day — waking up on this land.
Reach out to us if you have questions, special requests, or just want to say hi. We’ll be here, tending the trees, watching the stars, and waiting to welcome you.
